A gig is gone the moment it's over
You can't store a live night. You can keep the page warm.
A live night can't be stored, and a band that didn't get the word out can't get that crowd back.
And yet, between soundchecks, setting up, serving, packing down and getting home at two in the morning, the page is the first thing to slip. The line-up goes up late. The poster goes up once. Nobody posts photos from Saturday, so nobody knows how good it was.
Then a punter looks at the page on Wednesday to decide whether to go out on the weekend. They see nothing new since last month, and they stay in.
That's the cost of a quiet page. It's one empty chair at a time, and it never shows up in the takings as a missing line.
What we do for musicians and venues
Posters, line-ups and photos from Saturday, turned into posts.
We run your Facebook and Instagram every week from what you send us. A poster. A line-up. A few photos from last Saturday. A line about what's on next.
We turn it into posts, schedule them so they land through the week, and publish them. Typically that is 3 to 5 posts a week, plus Stories. Every 4 to 6 weeks you get a report covering growth, reach and engagement, so you can see how your page is going. It's the same organic social media management we do for every client, set up around a gig calendar.
Every Tuesday, Samantha messages you on WhatsApp with what to send. You reply from your phone, often from the car park.
Venue Social Media Management is one of the services listed on our Google profile, because this is work we do.
For venues
Keep the room looking alive, even on a quiet Tuesday.
A venue's page tells people what's on and what the place feels like. That's what brings the regulars back.
We keep the week's line-up moving, post photos from the night before while people are still talking about it, and keep the page looking like a room that's alive. Nobody wants to go out to a venue that looks asleep.
Musician marketing for bands, without the admin
You handle the playing. We handle the posting.
Musician marketing starts with the page. A band's page is a shopfront. Promoters, venues and fans all look at it before they decide anything. Gig dates, new releases, behind-the-scenes shots and a photo from the last show tell them you're active and worth booking.
We handle the posting so you can handle the playing. You send us what you've got. We make sure it goes out and looks like a band that's busy.
What to send us
Rough and ready is fine. A poster, a pic, a line.
Posters and line-ups. A photo from soundcheck. A clip or a photo from the night. A new release date. A shout-out to the venue or the other acts on the bill. A "we're back next Friday" line.
You don't need to write captions or work out when to post. We work from your material and turn it into posts that sound like you.
What this looks like in a typical week
(an example, not a promise)
- On Tuesday, Samantha's WhatsApp asks what's on. You send Saturday's poster and the line-up from your phone.
- We turn them into posts and schedule them to land through the week. They come to you for approval first.
- After the night, you send a few photos and we post them while people are still talking about it.
- Next Tuesday's message asks for the best shots from the weekend, and the cycle starts again.
Why consistency matters for live music
Fans decide late. Make sure the page has an answer.
Many fans decide late, and the page is often what they check. A page that posts every week gives them an answer. A page that posts in bursts gives them doubt.
Organic reach is a slow race, and live music is a slow race too. A page that shows up consistently keeps your name in front of people, and posts give them something to tag a mate in.
We can't promise a full room. We can promise a page that's alive every week and a report that shows how your reach and engagement are moving.
GigPig
Samantha is part of the early team helping test GigPig, a music discovery app for finding live gigs by artist, venue or location. If you play or run a venue, have a look at GigPig.
What it costs
Start with one platform, and add event coverage for the big nights.
From $100 a week plus GST per platform, with no contract and two weeks' notice. Facebook and Instagram together start at $200 a week plus GST. For a big night or festival, event coverage is $1,500 per day, photographer included. No travel charge within about 1.5 hours' drive of us. Further out, travel (and accommodation if it's overnight) is discussed and agreed with Samantha before you book. See Event social media. The Packages page has our two packages: Done with You and Done for You.

What we don't do
We don't run Facebook ads, build websites or set up online shops. We don't book bands or manage venues. Organic Facebook and Instagram is the job.
Questions from musicians and venues
Quick answers for bands and venues.
Tell Samantha about your next gig
Get your next gig talked about
Tell Samantha what you play or what you run and when your next night is. She'll talk through what package fits and what you'd send each week. You'll know the price before you decide. We work across Brisbane and north, and the areas we cover are on one page.
P.S. The best time to start posting about a gig is well before it. Book the call, and once you've signed up, the first Tuesday message can already be about your next show.
