For tradies on the tools
Social media for tradies: stay visible between jobs
Social media for tradies, done for you. Marketing for tradies without another job on your evening list: we turn your job photos into a Facebook and Instagram page that shows you're busy and good at what you do. From $100 a week plus GST per platform. No contract.
Your page does the talking while you're up a ladder or under a sink.
Photos from the ute
Phone shots from site are all we need.
WhatsApp or voice note
The quickest way to reach us.
No contract
Two weeks' notice to leave.
You're on the tools, not on your phone
You do the work. We'll handle telling people about it.
You're up early, on site by seven, and home when the light's gone. The last thing you want to do at night is write a Facebook post about the job you finished yesterday.
So the page sits. It says you were last active months ago. Meanwhile somebody is standing in their kitchen with a leaking tap or a dead power point, searching for someone local, and opening a few pages to see who looks reliable.
They'll skip the page that hasn't moved in months. They'll ring the one that looks busy. You'll never know which pages they skipped, and that's the problem.
Plenty of tradies get work through word of mouth, and that's good work. A page that's alive makes word of mouth easier, because when someone says "ring Dave, he's great", the first thing they do is look Dave up.
What we do for tradies
Job photos in, posts out, and your approval before they go live.
We run your Facebook and Instagram every week using what you send us. You send photos from the job and a line about it. We turn them into posts. Posts come to you for approval before they go out, unless we've agreed otherwise with Samantha. Then we publish them and, every 4 to 6 weeks, show you your growth, reach and engagement. This is organic social media management built around the way a tradie works.
If you can take a photo on site and send it through WhatsApp, you're most of the way there. We ask for fresh photos and news, ideally once or twice a week, though every couple of weeks is fine, and for an answer when we need your input. It's easy, not zero effort. Samantha messages you on Tuesdays so you know what to send.
We typically publish 3 to 5 posts a week, plus Stories.
Phone calls, not inbox messages
Let customers ring you instead of leaving an inbox to chase.
Prefer enquiries by phone? We can add a Call Now button to your Facebook page so people ring you directly, instead of leaving an inbox full of messages to chase after a long day.
We work remotely and manage your pages behind the scenes. WhatsApp, by message or voice note, is the quickest way to reach us, which suits a tradie in the ute.
What a tradie can send
If it's on your phone, it's probably worth a post.
You don't need a polished story. Most of what a tradie has on their phone is worth a post.
A finished job. A before and after. The van loaded and ready. A tricky fix and a line on what you did. A thank-you from a happy customer, if they're fine with it being posted. A booking reminder when you've got space in the diary.
That's what someone wants to see before they ring: you're active, you're local and you do good work.
If you can send a photo from site, you're most of the way there.
For plumbers
Look like the plumber who's out there every day.
A leak fixed or a hot water system swapped. People searching for a plumber are often in a hurry, so a page full of recent jobs in the area helps you look like the plumber who's out there every day.
For electricians
Proof beats promises. Show the jobs.
Switchboard upgrades and new lighting. Electrical work builds trust through proof, and a steady run of real jobs shows you've done this before.
For builders
Turn a six-month build into a story people can follow.
Slow, long jobs get overlooked on social media. Progress photos from week to week turn a six-month build into a story people can follow, and give future clients a look at how you work.
What marketing for tradies looks like on social media
Mostly proof. Real jobs, posted regularly.
For a tradie, marketing on social media is mostly proof: real jobs, posted regularly. Organic social media sits alongside your Google profile and reviews and does a different job. It keeps you in front of the people who already know your name, and it shows the people who've just heard it that you're the real thing.
Posting every week keeps you familiar when something breaks.
We don't promise jobs, and we won't dress up how slowly organic reach can build. What you get is a page that's active every week and an update every 4 to 6 weeks so you can see what's happening.
What this looks like in a typical week
(an example, not a promise)
- On Tuesday, Samantha's WhatsApp lands: what have you got this week?
- At smoko you send a photo of the switchboard you finished and a quick voice note about it.
- The post comes back for your approval, then goes out on Facebook and Instagram.
- If the week gets away from you, a nudge in the chat gets you back on track.

What it costs
A weekly price that works whether you're on site or not.
From $100 a week plus GST per platform, with no contract and two weeks' notice. Facebook and Instagram together start at $200 a week plus GST. It works every week, whether you're on site or not. The Packages page has the two packages, Done with You and Done for You.
What we don't do
Organic Facebook and Instagram only, and we say so upfront.
We don't run Facebook ads, build websites or set up online shops. If you need a website, we're not the people. Organic Facebook and Instagram is what we do.
Questions tradies ask
Straight answers, no jargon.
Tell Samantha your trade
Get your page working while you're on the tools
Tell Samantha your trade and how long the page has been quiet. She'll tell you what to send first, which package fits and what it costs. You'll have the price on the call, before you decide anything.
P.S. Sign up, send some job photos, and the page can start moving.
